Product description
The thermostat for the Lombardini FOCS, Progress and DCI engine is a small but functional part that sits between the engine and the radiator and controls the flow of the coolant. As long as the engine is cold, the thermostat stays closed and the coolant only circulates within the engine block. At a coolant temperature of 80 °C, the thermostat opens and the coolant also flows through the radiator, where the heated fluid is cooled before it flows back to the engine.
A faulty thermostat shows up as a temperature gauge that runs towards the red just a few minutes after starting (the thermostat stays closed and no cooling gets going), as a temperature gauge that even after half an hour of driving still hangs in the blue area (the thermostat stays open), or as a heater that no longer gives warm air when switched on because the engine does not reach operating temperature. This thermostat is by Bonq and has an outer diameter of 46 mm.
Suitable for moped cars from Microcar, Ligier, Chatenet, Grecav, Bellier, JDM, Casalini and Due with a Lombardini LDW 442 DCI, LDW 480 DCI, LDW 492 DCI, LDW 502 Progress or LDW 502 FOCS engine. Cross references: 9195124, 0112352, 811200, DVMB42.
