Shock absorber front Ligier IXO

The shock absorber for the front of the Ligier IXO is the part of the wheel suspension that together with the spring absorbs shocks from the road and keeps the wheel pressed against the road. When you drive over a speed bump or a rough road surface, the spring pushes the wheel back into its starting position, while the shock absorber slows down this movement at the same time so that the moped car does not keep swinging. This shock absorber is supplied complete with spring and fits both the front left and the front right.

A worn shock absorber shows up as a moped car that keeps swinging after a bump or speed bump and only becomes stable again after a few seconds, as knocking or ticking sounds from the front when driving over a rough road surface, or as visible oil leaks around the damper tube (which means the damper oil has leaked out and the damping action fails). A properly working shock absorber is important for the braking distance and the grip in corners. This shock absorber is by Bonq and technically equivalent to the original part.
