Gearbox (1:11) Microcar MGO1 / MGO2

The gearbox for the Microcar MGO1 and MGO2 is the part that transfers the rotation of the engine to the wheels through a fixed gear ratio. In a moped car, the gearbox works together with the variator: the variator adjusts to the engine speed, after which the gearbox passes on the resulting rotation in the correct ratio to the drive shafts and the wheels. The gear ratio of this gearbox is 1:11, which means the engine turns eleven times while the wheels turn once.

A worn gearbox shows up as a rumbling or grinding sound from the underside of the moped car, especially during acceleration (internal wear on gears or bearings), as a moped car that feels jerky between acceleration and constant speed (play in the gear ratio), or as visible oil leaks under the gearbox in the spot where you normally park (worn seals). This gearbox is by Bonq and technically equivalent to the original part.
