Flexible exhaust clamp (38mm)

The exhaust clamp for the moped cars from Microcar, Ligier, JDM, Casalini and Due is the adjustable metal clamp band that holds two exhaust parts together and at the same time presses them airtight against each other. Think for example of the connection between the front pipe and the rear silencer, where the exhaust gases flow through under pressure. By tightening a bolt, the clamp band is pulled tighter around the exhaust pipe, so that the connection stays firmly in place and does not leak during driving.

A worn exhaust clamp shows up as an audible blowing or puffing sound at the connection point during driving (exhaust gases escape past the clamp instead of through the exhaust), as a diesel smell you notice under the moped car or through the ventilation (exhaust gases come out at the wrong spot), or as a visibly rusty, broken or worn clamp band during visual inspection. This exhaust clamp is by Bonq and fits exhaust parts with a diameter between 35 and 38 mm.
