Product description
The brake light switch on the front of the master brake cylinder of the moped cars from Aixam, Chatenet, Grecav and JDM is a small electrical part that automatically switches on the brake lights at the rear as soon as you press the brake pedal. When you operate the pedal, pressure builds up in the master brake cylinder, which causes the switch to close the electrical circuit and turn on the brake lights. In this way, you warn the traffic behind you in time that you are braking.
A faulty brake light switch shows up as brake lights that no longer light up when you press the brake pedal, as brake lights that stay on continuously without you braking (internal short circuit), or as brake lights that sometimes respond to the pedal and sometimes do not. Working brake lights are a check point at the periodic vehicle inspection and are required in traffic. This brake light switch is by Bonq and technically equivalent to the original part.
Suitable for the Aixam 400, 400.4, 500.4, 721, 741, City, Crossline, MEGA 1 and MEGA 2, Roadline, Scouty and Scouty R, the Chatenet Stella, the Grecav EKE Phase 1 and 2 and Sonique, and the JDM Abaca, Albizia and Titane.
